Mia Jakeman
Mia Jakeman is a Family Solicitor specialising in private family law. She joined Bell Lamb & Joynson in September 2024.
Mia holds a law degree from Edge Hill University and completed her LPC and Master’s at Liverpool John Moores University.
She has worked with a wide range of clients on matters including child arrangements, divorce and financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, change of name deeds, and injunctions such as non-molestation and occupation orders.
Mia’s role involves meeting with clients to take initial instructions, representing them in court, drafting legal applications, and working closely with third parties such as CAFCASS, NYAS, and opposing solicitors.
During the COVID pandemic, Mia gained experience as a temp at various firms before joining Frodshams Solicitors as a Legal Assistant in April 2021. She was offered a training contract in 2022 and qualified as a Solicitor on 10th August 2024. After leaving Frodshams in July 2024, she began her current position four weeks later.
In her free time, Mia enjoys camping and travelling with her family and partner. She also loves eating out and stays active through running.
